A new episode of The Adventure Podcast is now available to download through your favorite podcasting app. On this week’s show we continue the tradition we started last year by offering up some suggestions for the best gifts for the outdoor lover on your shopping list. As we did in 2019, we’ve broken the suggestions down into categories based on price, with options for under $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500. We also have a “skies the limit” option for listeners who may have even bigger budgets. Unlike last year however, we do a better job of staying with in the constraints of those categories.
Before we jump into the holiday gift guide we first take a look at the latest adventure news, which includes updates from both the Arctic and Antarctic, as well winter mountaineering news, and some sad stories from the world or rock climbing. Since we talk a lot about gear in our main segment this week, we have an abbreviated version of our gear segment sharing some thoughts and advice on which stoves to use while winter camping.
You can listen to the podcast in the embedded player found below, or you can download it to your favorite device using Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Sticher, and Spotify. If you like what you hear, you can subscribe through any of those services as well. Send your thoughts, concerns, feedback, and most importantly your gear and outdoor adventure questions to us via Facebook and Twitter, or email us directly. This week’s gear segment was completely generated through a question that was sent by a listener. We’d love to have lots more of them.
Thanks so much for listening. We appreciate it greatly!
