We’re back with another episode of The Adventure Podcast this week, and once again we have an interesting guest for listeners. This time we sit down with John McKeon, the president and founder of a company called Polar Latitudes. Specializing in expedition cruises to the Antarctic, Polar Latitudes offers some amazing ways for average travelers like you and me to visit the frozen continent. In our chat with John, we dig into what it’s like to visit that remote place, the challenges of traveling in such a fragile environment, and the future of polar travelers in general.
Before digging into that length, but very interesting, discussion, my co-host Dave Adlard and I catch up on the latest adventure news, sharing updates from the South Pole expedition skiers, a story about a man rowing solo across the Pacific, and the latest high-profile stunt on Mt. Everest. Later, we share our weekly gear picks as well, with Dave offering up his thoughts on Mountain Khakis pants, while I review the new Apple AirPods Pro.
