The Adventure Podcast Episode 92: 2020 Travel Trends with Lee Thompson of Flash Pack

Even though The Adventure Podcast is released each Tuesday, I typically share a post announcing its availability here on the blog on Wednesdays. By the time you read this however, I will be on my way to the Outdoor Retailer convention in Denver, which means there probably won’t be any more posts this week. So, here’s the latest episode for those interested in listening.

This week, we welcome Lee Thompson from Flash Pack back to the show to talk adventure travel for 2020. I travel with Flash Pack to Jordan last October and had a fabulous time, getting a chance to experience first hand what the company has to offer. Based out of London, the company specializes in providing outstanding experiences for solo travelers, with itineraries that are aimed specifically for 30 and 40-somethings. We first chatted with Lee way back in Episode 38, but a lot has changed since then. He catches us up with what has been happing with Flash Pack, while giving us a few insights into where its headed in the future too.

This week, we skip our regular gear segment but still offer up Adventure News. My co-host Dave Adlard and I provide updates on the big winter climbing expeditions that are taking place right now, as well as tragic news of six trekkers missing in Nepal. But, we also have some good stories to share, including a team of thru-hikers who are getting set to take on the Great Western Loop and a dog that has climbed all 58 of Colorado’s 14ers.

As is usually the case, you can listen to the full podcast using the embedded player below. You can also subscribe to the show and get it delivered to your favorite mobile device each week through  Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Sticher, and Spotify. Questions, comments, and feedback can be sent via  Facebook, Twitter, or email. As usual, thanks so much for listening.
