On this week’s episode of The Adventure Podcast, my co-host Dave Adlard and I brave the wilds of Denver, Colorado to attend the 2020 Winter Outdoor Retailer convention to check out the latest and greatest new products from the show. We share our picks for the very best new gear that was on display at the event and give a sneak peak at some great new cold-weather equipment that will be heading our way later this year. All told, it was a very busy, but exciting show, with lots of things to share.
Before jumping into our picks for the best of OR, we also discuss some important stories in our Adventure News segment. Those stories include updates from the winter expeditions to 8000-meter peaks, a new high-altitude driving record, and the loss of a mountaineering legend. Because our main topic is so gear heavy this episode, we’ve elected to not share our regular gear reviews, although we’ll be back next week with some products to weigh in on.
You can listen to the full episode in the embedded player found below, or you can subscribe and listen in your favorite podcast app, including Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Sticher, and Spotify. If you have questions, comments, or feedback, Dave and I can be reached on Facebook, Twitter, or email. We always love to hear from listeners and appreciate you tuning in and sharing your thoughts.
