The Adventure Podcast Episode 99: Continuing Your Adventures in the Time of the Coronavirus

We’re back with another episode of The Adventure Podcast this week, with a focus on a topic that is on a lot of people’s minds right now. For our main discussion, my co-host Dave Adlard and I discuss ways for you to get your adventure fix in the age of the coronavirus. Obviously, many of us are staying close to home right now or are actually under a mandated lockdown. That can make pursuing our passions for outdoor adventure extremely difficult to do, but there are still some ways to feed your soul during this pandemic. We share a few ideas that may provide a spark when we all could use one the most.

Before jumping into that topic, we first take a look at the latest adventure news with stories about Chinese climbers being allowed on Everest this season, the cancellation of the Arctic expedition season for 2020, and the story of a paraplegic rower preparing to take on the Pacific Ocean. Later, we wrap things up with our weekly Gear Picks, with Dave sharing some thoughts on the Drift Camp Pillow from Klymit, while I put the New Balance Hierro Boa trail running shoes through their paces.

You can listen to the full episode embedded in this post below or you can subscribe to it through Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Sticher, and Spotify. If you like what you hear, please give us a rating and a review on any of those platforms. You can also reach out to us to share thoughts, comments, suggestions, and questions via Facebook, Twitter, or email.  We always enjoy hearing from listeners and usually respond back quite quickly.

Hopefully you enjoy this week’s show and it provides a bit of a distraction in these challenge times. We hope to continue producing new episodes in the coming weeks, so stay tuned and thanks for listening.
