Growing up in New York, runner Faith E. Briggs never saw herself as a conservationist. With so many other issues to contend with on a daily basis, she channeled her thoughts and energy into assisting others and fighting against social injustices. Now, she sees things a bit differently, having grown to understand the connection between people and the land. Over time, she has become a staunch advocate for the importance of public lands and in this video is running 150 miles (240 km) to raise awareness of the challenges that some of our outdoor places now face. Joining her on that run are more than a few diverse faces who want their voices to be heard too.
