In 2018, ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter won the Western States 100, one of the toughest and most prestigious ultra evens in the entire world. Last year, in 2019, she returned with an eye on setting a new course record. Things didn’t go exactly as she planned however, and she ran into some challenges that she didn’t expect. In this video, we join her in that pursuit, where she discovers that when things don’t go your way, you just might learn more from the experience than when you run an almost perfect race. Inspiring, insightful, and well made, this is an excellent short film for fans of endurance sports.
