Colorado’s Mount Antero is one of the state’s vaunted 14ers—which is to say that it is amongst the 58 peaks that reach above 14,000 feet (4267 meters) in height. This, of course, makes it a popular destination for hikers, and on occasion mountain bikers too. In this video, we join a couple of riders as they first push their bikes up the steep slopes of Antero, then temporarily parks their rides in order to make a dash for the summit. Once they’ve bagged the peak, the real fun begins however, as they hit the trail on what appears to be an outstanding descent. Truly a fantastic ride and one I’d love to try someday.
