Protecting Kenya’s Lions: African wildlife faces threats on a number of fronts. Not only is poaching a constant issue, the continued encroachment of man on their habitats, along with a constant struggle over increasingly scare resources, can make life very hard. You can add climate change to the list of things that is endangering these creates to, as you’ll see in this video.
Here, we follow Jeneria Lekilelei, a warrior from the Samburu tribe as he fights to protect Kenya’s wild lions amidst a severe drought. A decade ago, Janeria founded Warrior Watch, challenging other Samburu to become ambassadors for the lions in their communities. Now, they face even steeper challenges as the Earth itself turns against these big cats.
