In today’s episode of Steps to the Summit, Jaime Clarke, the Expedition Hanesbrand team leader, warns us about how little distractions can get in the way of reaching our goals, particularly when they are not dealt with properly, allowing them to grow into much larger distractions.
As is typical for these videos, Jamie shares a story from his own experience, recalling an expedition to Everest back in 1991, when the team actually ran low on toilet paper of all things. This “little distraction” led to hard feelings amongst the climbers and disagreements that helped to prevent the expedition from being a success. Jaime says that to over come those distractions, you need to discover what is at the heart of the issue and talk about ways to resolve it.
