The Aurora Borealis (or Northern Lights) is one of the more spectacular natural light shows that you’ll see anywhere on the planet. It isn’t a common occurrence in the lower 48 states but it does happen from time to time. In the video below, filmmaker/photographer Shawn Malone captured the phenomenon over Lake Superior The results are spectacular.
