I’m proud to announce that Episode 1 of The Adventure Podcast is now available. In this episode, my cohost David Adlard and I talk about a wide variety of subjects, including the all-star American climbing team currently in the Antarctic, racing the Southern Ocean in a sailboat, and some of our current favorite gear. Our main topic for the show is the cost of climbing Everest, as we break down the recent update on that subject from Alan Arnette as we inch closer to the 2018 season.
I’m sure some of you are probably scratching your head and thinking, “didn’t you already have a first episode?” Why, yes we did, but that show was called episode 0 and for good reason. Dave and I used it as a test bed to work out some of the technical kinks and figure out how all of this podcasting technology works. We have since made progress on our recording and editing, and this show is actually much better than the first in that regard.
As part of the process, we’ve also moved the show to a new hosting site, which I hope will now be its permanent home. That means we had to update our feeds in iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher, which can sometimes take a bit of time. Hopefully those will have all been updated today, and you’ll find the podcast waiting for you in your favorite app. If you want to speed things a long a bit, you might try unsubscribing and resubscribing, although it should update automatically at some point.
For those who want to listen to the show but don’t have a smartphone or a podcast app, you can listen to it online here. As always, we appreciate any feedback you might have, so join us on Facebook or Twitter, or send us an email at theadventurepod@gmail.com.
And as always, thanks for listening and giving this a shot. We think you’ll enjoy it.
