50 years a go a team of legendary climbers set off on what would become one of the most influential adventures of all time. Those climbers drove from the U.S. to Patagonia to attempt a first ascent of Cerro Fitz Roy. Along the way, they skied, surfed, camped, and explored, never knowing that they would go on to influence generations that followed, create several massive outdoor brands, and become luminaries in the fight to protect our planet. The video below is a teaser trailer for the almost mythical film that tells their tale. It is going into wide release for the first time five decades after it was made. It remains a seminal work of adventure filmmaking and a piece of mountaineering history.
