Episode 76 of The Adventure Podcast is now available for download on your favorite podcast platform. On this week’s show we take a look at the history and legacy of Eco-Challenge, and discuss why my co-host Dave Adlard and I are so excited for its return. We also talk about the strict media blackout that is currently in place and how that both helps and hinders the race to a degree. In the end, we both agree that when it finally begins streaming on Amazon Prime in 2020, we’ll be more than ready to see how things turn out.
Before jumping into that topic however, we first share news from the outdoor adventure and exploration space, including updates on two expeditions heading to K2 this winter, a South Pole skier who has taken a novel approach to fund raising, and the return of an iconic adventure vehicle with the release of the new Land Rover Defender. As usual, we wrap things up with some new gear items to share, including a great pair of athletic/travel shoes from Hoka One One and a handy strap for hanging things at your campsite that is amongst the least expensive items we’ve ever reviewed.
