National Geographic Adventure has posted a hot video of a โspeed descentโ on The Eiger, that has to be seen to be believed. Very cool stuff.
Whatโs a Speed Descent you ask? Good question. How about skiing off the summit with a parachute strapped to your back allowing you to float over large sections of the mountain. Judging from the video, this looks like a great deal of fun, and you have to give the guys points for orginality. While everyone else is finding new ways to get up The Eiger (and every other mountain) these guys are finding new ways to get down it.
Trust me, the video is worth your time! Thanks for sharing this Ryan!
