While checking out Jake Norton’s MountainWorld Blog today I came across this great story that updates us on young climber Jordon Romero’s quest to nab all of the Seven Summits before his 16th birthday.
I’ve written about Jordan in the past, but since I last mentioned him, he has managed to top out on Denali and now has five of the seven summits down, including Kosciuszko, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, and Denali this past summer. That leaves just Vinson, currently scheduled for next year, and Everest itself. He’ll most likely add Carstensz Pyramid at some point as well, just to avoid any controversy or doubt.
Jake also posted the video below on his site as well. It’s Jordan talking about his experiencing climbing, and displaying a knowledge and wisdom beyond his years.
