Monday brings another episode of Steps to the Summit courtesy of Expedition Hanesbrands, with the focus of this latest video falling on getting that “first yes.” Expedition leader Jamie Clarke reminds us that getting that first yes, that first vote of confidence and support, is usually the hardest, but if you are persistent, and you persevere, you’ll eventually find it. Better yet, one yes often leads to another, and then another, and before you know it, you have the support you need to begin moving towards your goal.
What exactly that “yes” is varies depending on your goal. When it comes to climbing, it might be that first sponsorship you need to make your expedition a reality, but if it is another goal that you are pursuing, it could be finding your first venture capital or even the first person to join your team. Get that first yes, and you’ve taken yet another step to what ever you summit is.
