Throughout the Antarctic expedition season that ended a few weeks back, we followed Ben Saunders and Tarka L’Herpiniere as they attempted to follow in the footsteps of legendary explorer Robert Falcon Scott. In the end, they were able to complete their goals, but not without struggling with poor surface conditions, subzero temperatures and unpredictable weather. Here’s a glimpse of what they endured.
