I’m not much of a fisherman, but this short film was too beautiful not to share. It centers around a trip to New Zealand for fly fishing, which is a graceful art that requires patience and skill. The video is as much a love letter to the landscapes of New Zealand as it is to fishing. It is quite a treat, even for someone who doesn’t stand in hip-deep water on a regular basis.

We are very proud to introduce our new company to you. Our Kickstarter campaign went live this week, and we are so excited for our flannels to finally be released to the public.
Compass Rose was born when three friends with diverse backgrounds came together to explore shared interests and high adventure. Our goal is to fill a void that exists between tough working clothes and clothes that look great but are fragile. We are building a shirt right here in the USA that won't look out of place and can take the abuse of a work day on a tug boat, but won't look like a work shirt at dinner. We are building comfortable, perfectly fitting shirts that are made right here in the USA. We won't be inventing new materials and our shirts won’t make you look like you're ready to step off from Everest base camp, but you'll know you're relying on the same quality and American craftsmanship that served many generations of hard working, adventurous men before you.

Beautiful film ! Never had patience for fishing, but fly fishing is quite different… Was fascinated by beautiful fly fishing scene in Montana, and looks like New Zealand, which is already an ultimate adventure travel destination, is another great place to go fly fishing !
