Casting Call: Discovery Channel is Casting for the New Season of Naked and Afraid

Want to be on television? Are you a fan of the Discovery Channel’s survival show Naked and Afraid? Then this post is definitely for you. The network has begun casting for the new season of the show, which drops two people – a man and a woman – into a remote environment, completely naked, and with just one personal item of their choice. They must then learn to survive in that environment for 21 days, using their skills and intellect, while working together. 

A few days ago I received an email from the casting department for the show saying that they were looking for new contestants to join the next season. The press release reads, in its entirety, as follows:

DISCOVERY CHANNEL SERIES “NAKED AND AFRAID” NOW CASTING!!!

Calling all survivalists: if you think you have what it takes to survive what may be the most harrowing challenge of your life, now is your chance to prove it. In this extreme cutting edge survival series, you will be paired with a partner and face harsh environments and intense situations. Stripped of even the barest of necessities, you will rely only on one another’s skills and mental acuity to survive.

So, there you have it. If you think you have what it takes to be on the show, go ahead and get started with the casting process. I’m sure more than a few of you have the skills necessary to survive in the wilderness for three weeks with just a multitool to assist you.

And for fans of the show, the next season begins airing on Discovery this Sunday evening.

  2. I don't know if I'd be too fond of being a participant, but I like the show. I give props to the director for the clever shots though. I wouldn't be good at surviving in the wild to be honest, I would miss my smartphone too much.
