Red Bull Rampage
Last week I spent a few days in the Utah desert, not far from Zion National Park, watching the 2018 Red Bull Rampage take place. This mountain bike event is like no other, requiring riders to not just have nerves of steel and plenty of skill, but have excellent route finding down the mountain too.
Prior to the start of the event, the riders and their two-person dig crews spend a week building their routes. Despite that however, the way down to the finish line is never smooth and easy. In the clip below, you’ll ride along with Brandon Faircloth as he makes one of the more memorable runs. Just hold on to your stomach, as even the video can be enough to get your palms sweaty.
