Back in 1973, the very first Black Ski Summit took place, with 350 people in attendance. From that gathering, a nationwide organization called the Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) grew, with chapters appearing in many large cities across the U.S. Today, more than 45 years later, the NBS is still growing strong, encouraging African Americans to hit the slopes and have a little fun in the outdoors. This video tells their story and it is a good one.
