The Adventure Podcast Episode 53: A Recap of the Sea-to-Sea Adventure Race

We’re back to full strength on this week’s Adventure Podcast as my co-host Dave Adlard returns to the fold after a week off. He was in Florida taking part in the Sea to Sea adventure race. Our main topic for the week will be hearing about his experiences in the three day event, which included plenty of running, mountain biking, paddling, and orienteering, not to mention a dubious report of wild monkeys.

Before delving into that story, we’ll first take a look at the biggest adventure news headlines of the week, including the ongoing rescue operations on Nanga Parbat and more travel insurance issues in Nepal. We’ll also celebrate the start of the 2019 Iditarod and have some more sobering news regarding climate change and the Antarctic.

Later, we’ll wrap up the show with our gear segment, sharing our recommendations for tents in three different budget categories.

You can subscribe to the show on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Sticher, and Spotify or you can listen to the latest episode embedded in this blog post below. Thoughts, feedback, and questions can be sent our way via our Facebook page, Twitter, or email.

As always, thanks for giving us a listen!
