REI continues its ongoing series of “how to videos” today, with recent clips aimed directly at climbers. This time out, the subject is how to properly coil a climbing rope. ON the surface, this wouldn’t seem like much of a thing to worry about, but as it turns out it can play a significant role in keeping your rope healthy and safe for use. In the video above, you’ll learn three different ways to coil that rope, preventing it from fraying and cracking in the process.
