As we prepare to slide into the weekend, I thought I’d share a charming and inspirational video produced by REI. It takes us to Oregon, where the Baker County School District, facing severe budget shortfalls, was forced to cut its school week back to four days.
Fearing the kids wouldn’t be as active and engaged as they should be on their extra day off, the Ski for the Health of It program stepped in, providing ski passes for the kids. The results have been surprising on a number of different levels. This is a great story that you shouldn’t miss. Enjoy!
