VIDEO: SPEAK TO ME SOFTLY—THE FEAR AND DOUBT OF A CLIMBER

We’re all living in a time of uncertainty and fear. Each of us has a little voice inside our head telling us to be careful, stay cautious, and distance ourselves even from the ones we love. But, we are not alone and those voices are not unique to us. As you’ll see in this video, that is something that outdoor athletes and adventurers deal with on a regular basis.

In this case, climber Jenny Abegg provides a glimpse of her thought process, including the fears and doubts that she faces, as she takes on a tough climbing route that has managed to elude her. In doing so, she shows vulnerability and caution, but she also shows strength and determination too. All of those are things that we can all relate to at the moment.
