If you watch the Rest of Everest video podcast that blog about on a weekly basis, you know that Jon has been promising some bonus episodes for the past couple of weeks. I’m happy to report that Episode 1 is available for download and features some stunning photography.
The bonus podcasts are going to follow Ben Clark, who regular viewers will recognize from the Rest of Everest episodes, as he and his climbing partner Josh Butson head to China to explore the Sichuan Province and climb several mountains in the Far Eastern Himalaya, putting up a first ascent on one of them.
Jon and Ben have a friendly relationship and it shows through in their narration of the episodes, and it’s fun to listen to them talk about Ben’s adventures in China. Especially, since I’ve been there myself, I can relate to some of the things Ben is talking about. They promise several more bonus episodes in the coming weeks, along with the regular Everest episodes, so this should make for another great video podcast to watch.
On another podcast note, I completely missed this one last week, but I’ll make up for it now. The GoFar Adventure Racing Podcast released a new episode last week featuring an interview with Mike Kloser the Captain of powerhouse Team Nike. Mike discusses a number of things, but central to the interview is his experiences at Primal Quest. Good stuff for fans of Adventure Racing.
