The Gear Junkie's Best of 2008! (For Under $30)

It’s December now (I swear! Just look at the calendar!) which means plenty of year end lists to tell us what the best (and worst) items of the year are. To that end, The Gear Junkie has put together his list of his favorite gear items for 2008 under $30 and posted it in today’s Daily Dose.

This list has some excellent choices for the frugal gift buyer, for the person looking to pick up some nice stuff for themselves. Amongst the items you’ll find are Sigma Illux Bike Light, which sports 3 bright LED’s, the Podium water bottle from CamelBak, Glacier Gel from Adventure Medical Kits, which helps to relieve blisters and chafing on your feet from long hikes.

The rest of the list is comprised of some excellent items as well, and all at affordable prices. They’ll make great stocking stuffers or if you’re like me, and your 401K isn’t what it use to be, they might just be the whole gift! That’s right! Everyone gets a Clif Bar this year!

I’m assuming we’ll a few more of these lists in the days ahead, with the price range going up from here. While all of this stuff is great, and comes at a low cost, I rarely seem to get out of REI with anything under $30. Besides, we all know that the REALLY good stuff is yet to come. 🙂
