We’ve had a number of troubling stories late about the shifting environment in the Antarctic. Most of those stories have involved the collapse of the ice shelves there, which could eventually lead to rising ocean levels around the world that may impact our coastlines dramatically. In this video, we travel to the frozen continent to see just how things are changing there.
It is part of a series of clips from National Geographic about living and working in the Antarctic, as we hear first hand from the researchers who work there just how things are changing. Along the way, we also get some incredible views of the continent, which few of us ever get the chance to see.
