The Balkan states are the home to some of the last untouched and wild rivers in all of Europe, which helps to create a more natural environment. But, those rivers are under siege as a proposal to install more than 3000 hydroelectric dams and power stations has been forward. By now, we have a good understanding of what that infrastructure does to the wilderness that surrounds a river and in the long run it is never good. This video, which comes our way from the folks at Patagonia, is a full-length documentary exploring the proposed project and the potential impact it could have on the environment. Obviously the need for power continues to grow, but what else are we sacrificing to feed our modern technology?
