It is not enough to have a well-designed, lightweight, and comfortable backpack. In order to get the most of your experience on the trail, that pack also needs to be properly fitted for your body too. Often times, the pack expert at your local gear shop will help you through that process, ensuring that heavy loads end up resting on your hips, rather than your shoulders. As youโll find out, it isnโt particularly difficult, but there are a few subtle things to keep in mind as you go.
