I’m a couple days late on this one, which is not typical for me when it comes to The Rest of Everest but a new episode of my favorite video podcast hit the net a few days ago, and it’s a welcome return. It’s officially titled Episode 62: Tibet 2007 Series Introduction, and it does just that, introduce us to a new direction and focus for The Rest of Everest.
Producer Jon Miller gives us a quick summary of where The Rest of Everest has been and where it’s headed in the future. We’ve had 62 other episodes (the show starts with episode 0) showing us the climb in 2003, with a few bonus episodes focused on other climbs sprinkled into the mix. Jon talks about the shows origins and how it has grown in popularity, with donations allowing him to continue producing episodes as well as helping to fun a return trip to Everest in the Spring of 2007. The new episodes will show us his experiences upon returning to Tibet and the mountain that has been the center of this amazing podcast.
Personally, I’m happy to see the Rest of Everest return, and I can’t wait to see the new footage. As a big fan of the show, I’ve missed new episodes coming on a weekly basis. It looks like I’ll be getting my fix again soon however, and it’s a bit like receiving an early Christmas present. 🙂
