A few days back I posted a link to a very comprehensive list of great hikes around the World from Mandalatrek.com. It seems Enrico, the writer of the site, has also put together a pretty cool Backpacking, Hiking, and Trekking FAQ as well.
The FAQ is broken down into sections which focus on different things, such as “How To Prepare”, “Techniques” and my personal favorite, “Gear”. Then, each of those sections has quite a few really great questions for both beginners and experienced hikers alike. There are literally dozens of questions and very solid answers for each of them that should make this page an excellent resource for anyone who is looking to get started in hiking or is preparing to go on one of those classic hikes around the globe.
Definitely check it out. I almost guarantee you’ll learn something new.
