Summit For Someone Half-Price Deposit Promotion

SFS BPM logo black
I’ve mentioned Summit For Someone a few times in the past. It’s the really great organization that puts together great opportunities for you and I to climb some great mountains, while raising funds for the Big City Mountaineers, another organization that works to help at-risk urban youth by introducing them to a variety of outdoor experiences.

The process is simple, you sign up for the climb of your choice, selecting a mountain that interests you, and then you raise the funds for the BCM. Once you raise enough funds, which is based on your choice of mountain, you’re on your way. They’ll even throw in some gear for you as well, and off you’ll go on Mt. Rainier, Hood, Denali, or whereever!

Even better, at the moment they’re running a promotion in which the deposit for signing up for a climb is half-price. Typically you’ll have to put down $1000 deposit to reserve your spot on the climb, but right now it’s just $500. You’ll have to hurry though, as the promotion only runs through tomorrow. You can find out more about how to take advantage of this deal in this post over at the Summit For Someone Blog, where they have a host of tips to help you on your fundraising efforts as well.

  1. Thanks for mentioning this Kraig. Also this year is a beginner course on Colorado’s Mt. Sneffels. Great for someone who wants to get into mountaineering but might be a bit intimidated to tackle Rainier on the first shot. check the SFS website for more info.
