Earlier today I posted a story about Gary Robbins and his attempt to complete the Barkley Marathons, which may or may not be happening this weekend. To put things into context for those who don’t know too much about the race, watch this short documentary. It gives a solid overview of what the Barkleys are all about, and why it is such a fun race to follow for those of us who aren’t actually running it. For competitors, it is the most grueling undertaking of their running careers, with only a handful ever finishing. If the race does take place this weekend, this clip is a good preview of what’s to come.
