When Sarah Hornby lost her husband, she naturally went into mourning over that dramatic loss. In time, she looked for ways to connect with him and in the process, heal her broken heart. To do that, she found solace and peace on the back of a bike. More specifically, she began riding the ten routes that he created for a guidebook he wrote about the best bikepacking trails in the Canadian Rockies.
Over the course of a year, she took on each of those routes, learning a lot about herself along the way and coming to not just lament his death, but celebrate her life and their life together. This is Sarah’s story, and it is a beautiful one.

Amazing story, courageous woman! EGV
Like!! I blog frequently and I really thank you for your content. The article has truly peaked my interest.
This is a story that is captivating. What is life other than to be the best that we can be! If we are lucky enough to find the ‘love of our life’, then we have found the best that life can offer.
This woman’s story shows that she found a way to keep ‘the love of her life’, her husband, alive within her. This is a story that melds you right into it with the person living it.
Left me in tears. Hit me on so many fronts. Beautiful story and beautiful picture.
